The Ford dealership at 6850 State Highway 121 is planning a $16 million overhaul, according to a construction filing registered Monday with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The project, listed under the facility name AutoNation Frisco Ford, would remodel the existing 63,495-square-foot dealership building. The filing's scope of work also lists an expansion of the service drive canopy and enclosure of the area where new vehicles are delivered to buyers.
The estimated schedule runs a full year: work is set to start March 1, 2027, with completion listed for March 1, 2028. The filing classifies the job as a renovation and alteration on private land, paid with private money, and says the funds are not coming from a tenant.
The owner named on the record is Bankston Ford of Frisco Ltd Co, with a Fort Lauderdale, Florida, mailing address. LOMA Architecture of Houston is listed as the design firm. As of Tuesday morning the project's status in the state system was "Project Registered," the first step before the plans are reviewed and the finished building is inspected for accessibility.
