Early Scoring Sets the Tone

Arizona State opened the scoring with a 46-yard field goal by Carson Smith, taking a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. However, Baylor responded immediately. Ryelan Morris broke loose for a 63-yard touchdown run, followed by DJ Lagway connecting with Tony Livingston on a 3-yard pass to give the Bears a 14-3 advantage at the end of the first period.

The second quarter saw Baylor extend its lead further. Rhett Armstrong added a 36-yard field goal for Baylor just before the break, ending the half with a 24-13 lead.

Third Quarter Explosion Decides the Contest

Lagway threw two more touchdown passes: one to Hawkins Polley from 3 yards out and another to Jadon Porter from 8 yards out. These scores, combined with a 75-yard rushing touchdown by Caden Knighten, turned a comfortable lead into a rout. The Bears led 45-16 entering the fourth quarter.
