Astros Offense Explodes
The Houston Astros offense was relentless on Saturday, tallying 11 runs against the Texas Rangers to secure an 11-2 victory at Daikin Park. Yainer Diaz and Alex Bregman were central to the offensive surge, combining for four runs batted in during the game.
Diaz provided early momentum in the second inning when he scored on a double by Adolis Garcia. He later added to his night with a home run in the seventh inning, his 407-foot shot to left-center field extending the Astros' lead. Diaz finished with two runs scored and two RBIs.
Bregman contributed significantly in the fifth inning when he launched a 395-foot home run to left field. He also drove in a run in the seventh inning with a single to right field. Bregman recorded two runs scored and two RBIs in the contest.
Rangers Pitching Struggles
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi took the loss after allowing six earned runs over five innings. He surrendered 10 hits and struck out five batters, falling to 10-9 on the season.
Relievers Luis Curvelo and Nicky Lopez also faced difficulties. Curvelo pitched two innings, giving up four earned runs on four hits while walking four batters. Lopez pitched one inning, allowing one earned run on four hits.
The Rangers managed only two runs in the game. Wade Jr. doubled in the second inning, bringing in one run, while Seager scored in the sixth inning on a single by Carter.
