Hudson House opens its Frisco restaurant on Wednesday, Aug. 6, bringing the Dallas-born concept to a stretch of Preston Road just north of Stonebriar Centre.

The restaurant takes over the former Twin Peaks building at 3475 Preston Road. It is the seventh Hudson House in Dallas-Fort Worth and the ninth in Texas.

Hudson House is a Vandelay Hospitality Group concept. The first location opened in Highland Park in 2017 and the group has expanded steadily across the region since, with the Frisco opening continuing a move from Dallas proper into the northern suburbs.

The menu leans on an East Coast seafood-house style. The kitchen is known for its cheeseburger, for oysters flown in daily, and for a martini the restaurant bills as the world's coldest.

For Frisco, the practical detail is the address. Preston Road north of Stonebriar has become one of the city's denser restaurant corridors, and the Twin Peaks space had sat vacant, so the opening fills an existing building rather than adding new construction.

Hours and reservation details are available through the restaurant.
