Frisco, Texas — The Dallas Mavericks announced their 2026 NBA Summer League roster Friday, a collection of draft picks, international prospects, and returning young players set to begin play Thursday in Las Vegas. Ninth overall pick Morez Johnson Jr. headlines the group.

Johnson, a Michigan product, signed his rookie contract Thursday ahead of the 11-day event featuring all 30 NBA teams. Sergio De Larrea, the 25th selection Dallas acquired from the Lakers, signed his four-year rookie deal Friday. The 20-year-old Spanish guard averaged 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for Valencia Basket, winning Liga ACB Best Young Player.

The roster spans five countries beyond the United States. Spain contributes De Larrea and the Diaz Graham twins, Guillermo and Jorge. Lawal represents England, Ishchenko brings Russian talent, and Nembhard hails from Canada. Dallas also added second-rounders Lawal (48th) and Ishchenko (56th).

Three players return from the 2025-26 Mavericks roster. Nembhard, who averaged 6.6 points and 5.3 assists as a rookie, is joined by Poulakidas (8.8 points in 13 games) and Smith (4.7 points in 12 games). Jaden Springer, a four-year NBA veteran, also appears on the squad.

New assistant coach Joe Boylan will lead the team from the sideline. The Mavericks open against Golden State on July 9 at 6 p.m. CT, followed by the Lakers (July 11), Memphis (July 13), and Oklahoma City (July 16) at the Thomas & Mack Center.
