The City of Frisco is hosting a two-day Frisco Freedom Fest on July 3 and 4 to honor veterans and mark the nation’s 250th anniversary. The celebration spans Kaleidoscope Park, Harold Bacchus Community Park, and Riders Field.
Friday begins with the Paws and Stripes pet festival at Kaleidoscope Park from 6 to 10 p.m. Dog owners can enter their pets in the Daschund Dash, Runway Rover, and Corgi Clash competitions. Registration is required for participants.
Saturday activities start with the Party in the USA 5K race at Harold Bacchus Community Park at 8 a.m. Later that afternoon, a cornhole tournament takes place at Kaleidoscope Park at 1 p.m. The evening features the Frisco Freedom Fest Block Party at Riders Field from 5 to 10 p.m. The opening ceremony at 6 p.m. includes the Frisco American Legion Peter J. Courcy Post 178. The block party also offers a classic car show and food vendors.
The event concludes with Frisco’s Fireworks Extravaganza at approximately 10 p.m., following a Minor League Baseball game between the Frisco RoughRiders and the Midland RockHounds. Admission to the block party is free.
