Frisco Panther Creek fell to No. 3-ranked Anna 42-27 in a high school football matchup held at Toyota Stadium. The game marked the first 4-5A Division II district contest for both squads, who entered the contest with different records. Anna improved to 3-0, while Panther Creek dropped to 2-1.
Juelz Carter, a committed recruit for San Diego, was the primary offensive threat for the Coyotes. He rushed for 225 yards and two touchdowns while also catching six passes for 74 yards and two additional scores. Quarterback Zephyr Kreye, a senior with multiple Division I offers, completed for 166 yards and three touchdowns.
Anna established an early lead, taking a 7-0 advantage on the opening drive when Carter caught a 29-yard pass from Kreye.
The Coyotes extended their lead to 14-0 with under three minutes remaining in the first quarter on a 13-yard pass to Christian Adams. Anna increased the margin to 21-0 in the second quarter when Kreye scored on a two-yard keeper. Panther Creek responded with a 10-play drive, cutting the deficit to 21-7 on a 21-yard touchdown connection between Tristin Schramm and Sukora Cooper.
Anna regained control late in the second half, taking a 35-7 lead when Carter ran in from 13 yards out. The Panthers managed to close the gap to 35-20 in the third quarter, aided by a 47-yard touchdown pass from Cooper to CJ Watts.
However, Anna sealed the result with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Carter late in the third quarter, establishing a 42-20 lead that held until the final whistle.
