Frisco Memorial volleyball is currently on pace for the most wins in program history, a significant leap from previous seasons. The Lady Warriors have made the playoffs in five of the last six years, with their best previous marks being 27-16 in 2024 and 28-14 in 2025.
This season, the team entered the week with a 26-5 overall record and a 4-0 mark in 11-5A district play.
Senior Samantha Everidge has emerged as the primary offensive threat for the squad. She is averaging 5.6 kills per set, a figure that places her among the top hitters in the Metroplex. Her production includes 448 kills through 80 sets, 24 aces, 44 blocks, 278 digs, and 421 receptions. Everidge is also hitting at a career-best percentage of .251.
The team’s success comes despite losing significant offensive firepower from the previous year. Memorial lost 57% of its kills from the 2025 season due to the graduation of players like Cailin McNamara and Brooklin Brown, and the departure of Faith Roulston-Aliu to Sam Houston State.
Sophomore Aubrey Axtell and senior Ava Funderburk have stepped into larger roles, while Everidge has taken on a more central attacking position.
Everidge noted that the team’s chemistry and willingness to play out of position have been key factors. "Our energy, chemistry and how much we genuinely like each other," Everidge said. "We have zero egos. Most of us are playing out of our normal positions just because it’s what the team needs. Everyone is bought in, and that shared energy makes us so much better."
