Diners in Frisco can now access the towering, jiggly pancakes that helped make Sweet Stacks a popular destination in Fort Worth. The restaurant is currently in the soft-opening phase at its new site located at 252 W. Stonebrook Parkway, Suite 640.
This expansion arrives less than one year after the concept launched on Magnolia Avenue in Fort Worth. The original location quickly gained attention, with patrons waiting in lines up to two hours long following its late December 2025 opening, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
A significant portion of that wait time is attributed to the preparation of the signature Japanese soufflé pancakes, which require approximately 30 minutes to cook.
The Frisco menu expands beyond the viral pancakes to include a broader selection of Asian-inspired items. The kitchen combines Japanese sweets with Thai and Lao cooking techniques from its sister concept, Sweet Rice. In addition to the tall, airy pancakes available in sweet fruit-topped or savory bacon-and-egg variations, guests can order matcha lattes, Thai tea, pad Thai, fried rice, Lao sausage, and potstickers.
The restaurant is operated by a team with an established presence in North Texas. Chef Mina Sourignavong collaborated with Sweet Rice founder Von Linavong on multiple Texas establishments before launching this spinoff. Plans for the Stonebrook Parkway location were first reported in the spring of 2026, and the soft opening was confirmed in August.
