North Texas residents have a variety of options for entertainment and community engagement from Sept. 21 through Sept. 27. The schedule features live performances, seasonal festivals, and charitable events in Plano, Frisco, Allen, Dallas, McKinney, and The Colony.
On Monday, Sept. 21, fans can watch Monday Night Football on large indoor and outdoor screens at the Lexus Box Garden inside Legacy Hall in Plano.
Comedy enthusiasts have an opportunity on Wednesday, Sept. 23, when Atlanta-based stand-up comedian Mario Tory performs at Mic Drop Comedy in Plano. Tory previously served as a Saturday night host at Uptown Comedy Corner and was the first comic featured on Kevin Hart’s "Hart of the City" on Comedy Central.
The State Fair of Texas begins its 24-day run at Fair Park in Dallas on Sept. 25. The event includes livestock displays, midway rides, food vendors, and entertainment.
Also on Sept. 25, PGA District in Frisco hosts an outdoor screening of the animated film "Inside Out 2" starting at 7 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring blankets but leave lawn chairs at home. Food and beverages will be available from nearby restaurants and roaming concession carts.
A weekend celebration takes place in Historic Downtown McKinney from Sept. 25 to 27 for the McKinney Oktoberfest. Activities include German-inspired food, music, weenie dog races, a TUPPS brat-eating contest, stein holding, and facial hair competitions.
In Allen, Watters Creek hosts the 2026 Crafts & Drafts Fine Arts Festival and Bier Tasting from Sept. 25 to 27. The open-air event features original artwork from local and visiting artists, along with live music and dance performances.
