Frisco Roadway Projects Impact Traffic Starting June 22

The City of Frisco announces new pavement replacement projects and road closures that will affect local traffic beginning in late June.

The City of Frisco has issued an update regarding upcoming roadway projects that may impact traffic for residents. The announcement, last updated on June 12, 2026, outlines several construction initiatives scheduled to take place in the coming weeks. Unless noted otherwise, drivers should expect an estimated two weeks for completion of these projects, provided weather conditions permit.

New pavement replacement work is scheduled for 2828 Stonebrook Parkway. Additional new pavement replacement will occur at the intersection of Eastbound Old Orchard Drive and Tanyard Lane. The city also listed ongoing pavement replacement efforts at 3116 Barkwood Lane and 9764 Grasslands Drive. Utility improvements are planned for Preston Trace Road. Furthermore, work will take place on Morgan Hill Road and Old Barn Drive within the Pearson Farms Subdivision.

Specific traffic disruptions are set to begin on Monday, June 22. Anthem Drive will be closed at King Road starting at 7 a.m. on that day. Residents are advised to plan alternative routes during this time.

Other recent traffic updates include a traffic switch on PGA Parkway between Preston Road and Coit Road, which was posted on June 15, 2026. A new traffic signal has been activated on Dallas Parkway at Fields Parkway and Universal Parkway, along with a new roadway section, as of June 2, 2026. Earlier in the month, 5th Street was closed between Main and Elm Streets starting on the evening of May 28. Additionally, a traffic switch on Lebanon Road began on Monday, April 20, with the notice posted on April 17, 2026.

The city encourages residents to monitor local traffic conditions and adjust their travel plans accordingly as these infrastructure improvements proceed.
