San Antonio Spurs dominate first half
The San Antonio Spurs established an early lead that proved insurmountable against the Sacramento Kings in a 130-103 victory on Tuesday at Frost Bank Center. Victor Wembanyama was the standout performer for the home team, scoring 29 points and securing 10 rebounds in the decisive win. The Spurs controlled the pace from the opening tip, outscoring the Kings 39-29 in the first quarter.
That momentum carried into the second period, where San Antonio extended their advantage to 41-25, leaving them with a 22-point lead at the half.
Kings struggle to keep pace
The visiting Kings, who fell to 0-4 on the season, found it difficult to generate consistent offensive rhythm against the Spurs' defense. While Sacramento managed to score 26 points in the third quarter, the Spurs responded with 27, maintaining their 22-point cushion. De'Andre Hunter led the Kings with 24 points, but the team was unable to close the gap.
Domantas Sabonis provided a double-double for Sacramento with 14 rebounds and 8 assists, yet his efforts were not enough to overcome the deficit. The Spurs' bench and rotation players also contributed significantly to the scoring attack.
