The Dallas Cowboys have officially reduced their roster from 91 players to the required 53 ahead of the 2026 NFL season. This announcement comes as the team prepares for their season opener in East Rutherford, with ongoing efforts to finalize their practice squad.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer noted that the decision-making process for roster cuts was particularly challenging this year, citing the depth and talent of the current team. The Cowboys' initial roster includes three quarterbacks, three running backs, six wide receivers, and various players across defensive and special teams positions.
