The Dallas Cowboys will be missing four defensive players against the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil, with cornerback Cobie Durant, safeties Malik Hooker and P.J. Locke, and linebacker DeMarvion Overshown all ruled out for the Week 3 game.
Each player missed Dallas practices on Wednesday and Thursday and will not make the trip to Rio de Janeiro. The Cowboys and Ravens enter the international matchup with 1-1 records in the NFL season.
Durant started Dallas' first two games after joining the team this offseason following four seasons with the Rams. He played 87 defensive snaps before sustaining a hamstring injury during the Cowboys' win over Washington last Sunday. He had been expected to miss multiple weeks.
Hooker has been unavailable since fracturing his forearm in the season opener against the New York Giants. He started that game but left after 12 defensive snaps. Locke then started against Washington, taking 31 defensive snaps before suffering a torn plantar fascia in his foot.
Overshown is set to miss his second straight game because of a hamstring strain from the opener against the Giants. He started that contest and made seven tackles before leaving.
