A student athlete from Crandall High School sustained an injury during football practice and was later airlifted for medical care. This incident occurred at the PIT, situated in Crandall, a city in Kaufman County, located about 20 miles east of Frisco.

Crandall Independent School District (ISD) communicated via social media to inform the public about the helicopter's arrival near the baseball fields, which was essential for the student's transport. The district noted that the sight of emergency vehicles and the helicopter could cause concern and aimed to keep families informed about the situation.

In their announcement, Crandall ISD also emphasized the importance of respecting the family's privacy during this difficult time. "Our thoughts are with the student and the student's family," the district stated. Further updates will be provided by CBS News Texas as more information becomes available.
