Barham leads Cowboys in tackles for loss heading into Houston game

The rookie has four tackles for loss and shares the team lead in total tackles through Dallas’ first three games.

Rookie linebacker Jaishawn Barham enters the Cowboys’ Week 4 game at Houston with four tackles for loss, the most on the Dallas defense through three games, according to a Sept. 30 statistical report from the team.

Barham and fellow linebacker Dee Winters each have 20 total tackles. Winters leads Dallas with 15 solo tackles, while Barham’s official player page lists 11 solo stops and nine assists.

The Cowboys said Barham is their first rookie since 1999 to record four tackles for loss in his first three NFL games.

Dallas has allowed 179.7 rushing yards per game, ranking 31st in the league, while Houston’s offense ranks 30th with an average of 84.7 rushing yards, according to the Cowboys’ report.

Dallas is 1–2 entering the matchup, and Houston is 0–3. Kickoff at Houston is scheduled for noon Central on Sunday, Oct. 4, according to the Texans’ game information.
