As the Dallas Cowboys gear up for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season, the team is entering the week with a largely healthy roster. The Cowboys have been fortunate to avoid major injuries during the offseason, and they hope this trend continues throughout the season.

However, two players on the active roster are currently dealing with injuries. Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard has been sidelined due to an abs/groin injury. According to reports, he was seen participating in rehab work as of September 1, which suggests he may have a chance to play in the season opener, although he may need additional time to fully recover.

Ajani Cornelius, a guard who has shown promise during training camp, is also recovering from an injury. He missed practice on September 2 but was spotted doing rehab work on September 1, indicating he could be ready for Week 1, depending on his progress.

In addition to these players, the Cowboys have placed linebacker Marist Liufau and cornerback Devin Moore on injured reserve. Both players have the option to return after a mandatory four-week absence. Liufau suffered a fractured forearm during the preseason finale, requiring surgery, while Moore is dealing with a hip injury after previously facing groin issues during training camp.

Given Moore's history of injuries, his potential contributions this season remain uncertain.

Further updates on the status of Bullard and Cornelius are expected as the week progresses, while Liufau and Moore will be sidelined for at least the first month of the season.
