Five Texans were unavailable because of injuries during Wednesday’s practice, with one additional player held out for rest. Offensive tackle Trent Brown had knee and wrist issues, defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was dealing with a knee injury, and wide receiver Nico Collins was sidelined by a hamstring problem.

Linebacker Jake Hummel and offensive guard Ed Ingram were also out with groin injuries. Tight end Dalton Schultz did not take part for rest-related reasons.

Collins hurt his hamstring during practice last week and was not available for the Texans’ Week 2 loss to the Bengals. The source did not provide further details about the other injuries.

Three defensive players were limited: Will Anderson Jr. was resting, while Logan Hall and M.J. Stewart were listed with knee injuries. Safety Reed Blankenship and linebacker Wade Woodaz, both dealing with thumb injuries, took part fully.
