SMU’s 2027 football schedule will bring Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford to Gerald J. Ford Stadium for ACC games. The Mustangs also are set to begin the season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium.
The conference road slate lists Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke. It will be SMU’s second season using the ACC’s current scheduling model, which calls for nine league games and at least 10 matchups each year against Power Four opponents. The ACC said dates and the complete 2027 schedule are expected in late January.
SMU is 15-2 in conference competition under coach Rhett Lashlee. The Mustangs have won every ACC game they have played at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, and their league record during that stretch is the best among ACC programs. This week, SMU is scheduled to travel to Louisville for a matchup with No. 23 Louisville.
