The Houston Texans are exploring the possibility of signing Jaden Davis, a cornerback who was previously with the Arizona Cardinals. Davis has recently been medically cleared to play and participated in a workout with the Texans, as reported by KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was selected by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th overall pick. His workout was highlighted in a video shared on social media, showing his readiness to return to the field.

The Texans are looking to bolster their cornerback position, which has faced injuries this season, a problem that has persisted since 2025. Currently, Jalen Pitre, a safety, is filling the nickelback role, while Jaylin Smith, a third-round pick in the 2025 draft, missed a significant portion of his rookie season due to injuries.

Davis was noted in The Athletic's draft guide as one of the top remaining prospects. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein described him as a nickel corner with good foot speed and agility but indicated that he needs to improve his anticipation skills to enhance his effectiveness in the NFL.

Further updates on Davis's status and potential signing with the Texans are expected as the situation develops.
