The Houston Texans have announced the signing of tight end Louis Hansen to their roster. This marks Hansen's second time with the team, having initially joined in June before being waived in late July. No corresponding roster move was necessary to accommodate his return.
Hansen, who went undrafted in April, previously played college football at the University of Michigan and the University of Connecticut. Over his collegiate career, he recorded 46 receptions for 463 yards and four touchdowns across 40 games.
Currently, the Texans' tight end roster also includes Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round draft pick Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor. Further details regarding Hansen's role with the team have not yet been provided.
