Texans starting linebacker Henry To'oTo'o is expected to miss time because of a shoulder injury sustained in Houston's 36-31 defeat to Buffalo, coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday.
To'oTo'o was hurt with 2:34 remaining in the fourth quarter while bringing down Bills tight end Dawson Knox. He needed help standing and went to the sideline, and he did not return to the game.
Ryans said the Texans have not determined whether To'oTo'o will be placed on injured reserve. The linebacker was selected by Houston in the fifth round of the 2023 draft and signed a two-year, $16 million extension in August.
Buffalo's 36 points were the second-highest total Houston has allowed during Ryans' tenure. The Texans previously gave up 37 points to Tampa Bay in 2023. The game also marked Houston's first time allowing more than 30 points since a 31-point game against Baltimore on Christmas in 2024.
