The team could be cautious with Collins because of his previous injury history, including a Grade 2 hamstring strain in 2024 that put him on injured reserve. If he does not play, Houston's receiving options would change, potentially creating more targets for Schultz.
Schultz finished 2025 as the Texans' receptions leader, making 82 catches for 777 yards. He also showed how his role can expand without Collins last season, receiving 10 targets after Collins left a Week 7 game against the Seattle Seahawks and finishing with nine receptions for 98 yards.
