Baylor football released its initial depth chart for the 2026 season on Monday in preparation for their opening game against Auburn.
On offense, DJ Lagway is set to start at quarterback, with Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin, and Quinn Murphy listed as backups. Dawson Pendergrass will take the lead at running back, supported by Caden Knighten, Michael Turner, Ryelan Morris, and Jacorey Watson.
The wide receiver positions feature Louis Brown IV and either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter as starters. Gavin Freeman is the starting slot receiver, with Jayden McGowan as a backup. Matthew Klopfenstein is the starting tight end, backed by Tony Livingston, Hawkins Polley, Parker Almanza, Kai Wesley, and Brody Wilhelm.
The offensive line includes Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Koltin Sieracki at center, Asher Hale at right guard, and Kaden Sieracki at right tackle, with various backups listed for each position.
Defensively, the Bears have Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack starting at defensive end, with Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington at defensive tackle. Hosea Wheeler or Jamaal Whyce Jr. will start at nose tackle. The linebacker positions include Travion Barnes at MIKE, Kyland Reed at WILL, and either Ryan Davis or Garrick Ponder at JACK.
In the secondary, Devon Jordan and LeVar Thornton Jr. will start at cornerback, with Colby McCalister or Tyler Turner at free safety and Devin Turner or Jacob Redding at strong safety.
