Rangers Edge Brewers 7-4 in High-Scoring Affair

Duran Powers Rangers Offense

Ezequiel Duran was the decisive force for the visiting Texas Rangers, driving in four runs and hitting two extra-base hits in a 7-4 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. The win improved the Rangers' record to 67-70, while the host Brewers fell to 85-52.

The game featured a combined three home runs and significant offensive production from both clubs, with the Rangers ultimately outscoring Milwaukee 7-4.

Scoring Sequence

The Brewers took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. In the top of the second, Rangers' José Iglesias scored on a ground-rule double by Jesús Sánchez, making it 1-2. Duran tied the game 2-2 in the third inning with a solo home run to left-center field.

The Rangers took the lead in the fifth inning when Duran hit a ground-rule double, scoring Langford and Seager for a 4-2 advantage. Milwaukee cut the deficit to 5-2 in the sixth when Pederson homered to right field. The Rangers extended their lead to 6-2 in the seventh inning on an infield single by Burger that scored Nimmo.

Freeman then singled to right, scoring Duran and making it 7-2. Brewers' Sánchez homered to center field in the seventh, scoring Chourio and cutting the final margin to 7-4.

Pitching Performance

Kumar Rocker started for the Rangers, pitching three innings while allowing four hits, two earned runs, four walks, and striking out seven batters. Tyler Alexander earned the win, pitching two scoreless innings with one walk and one strikeout. Jacob Latz recorded the save, pitching one hitless, scoreless inning with one strikeout.

For Milwaukee, Dustin May took the loss, pitching four and one-third innings while allowing six hits, four earned runs, three walks, and striking out four batters. Grant Anderson pitched two innings, allowing three hits and one earned run with two strikeouts. Bryse Wilson finished the game, pitching two and two-thirds innings, allowing one hit, no earned runs, one walk, and striking out two batters.
