Frisco, Texas — The Mavericks made a July 20 roster move, signing Jett Howard to a two-way contract and requesting waivers on forward Tyler Smith.
Howard joined Dallas after three years in Orlando. The Magic took the 6-foot-8 wing with the 11th pick of the 2023 NBA Draft.
Dallas said Howard averaged 5.5 points over 55 games for Orlando last season. The club did not announce financial terms.
The one-season two-way agreement gives the Mavericks a new option for 2026-27, Hoops Rumors reported.
