Plano's arts organizations will unite for the annual Celebrate the Arts event on August 15. Hosted by Collaborative Arts of Plano, the event will take place at the Courtyard Theater located at 1509 H Avenue. The program is divided into two parts to accommodate families.

A children's matinee is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m., featuring performances designed for younger audiences. The lobby will host interactive art activities and a musical instrument "Petting Zoo" provided by the Plano Symphony Orchestra, allowing children to engage with various instruments. Tickets for the matinee are priced at $10.

Later in the evening, starting at 7 p.m., the showcase will present 20 performances from member organizations, alongside speeches from local leaders. This variety show will include music, dance, theater, and visual art, with a visual arts exhibition available for viewing beforehand. Evening tickets are available for $20, which includes access to an afterparty featuring a DJ, wine, snacks, and opportunities to meet performers.

Collaborative Arts of Plano, established in 2015, comprises 27 member organizations and aims to promote Plano as a vibrant arts destination. This event offers attendees a unique opportunity to experience a range of performances from the city's cultural landscape in one day. Plano is about 12 miles southeast of Frisco.
