'Dutton Ranch,' the sequel to 'Yellowstone,' was filmed entirely across North Texas, utilizing various locations from August 2025 to March 2026. The series, which premiered on May 15, 2026, features filming sites such as Ferris, Boyd, Cleburne, Grandview, Weatherford, Rio Vista, Mineral Wells, Fort Worth, and Dallas, with Ferris contributing significantly to the production.

The ranch landscapes seen in the show are primarily from Parker, Wise, and Johnson counties, rather than the Rio Grande Valley depicted in the storyline. The series attracted 12.9 million global viewers in its first week, marking the largest original series launch in Paramount+ history. Its two-episode premiere also garnered 2.9 million viewers on Paramount Network, making it the biggest cable series premiere since 2023.

The cast includes Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Finn Little, with Ed Harris and Annette Bening among others. Created by Chad Feehan, the show has been renewed for a second season, although a premiere date has yet to be announced. Texas's Moving Image Industry Incentive Program played a role in attracting such productions, benefiting local businesses and crews.

Boyd is about 43 miles west of Frisco.
