Some Frisco neighborhoods fall inside Prosper ISD, which has schools in parts of Frisco, Celina, McKinney, Aubrey and Prosper itself. That district's Board of Trustees unanimously chose Dr. Greg Bradley as its lone superintendent finalist on Sept. 30. If approved, Bradley would become the district's 20th superintendent, overseeing nearly 35,000 students at 32 campuses.
Bradley left Prosper ISD about 16 months ago after serving as deputy superintendent through May 2025, when he became superintendent of Ennis ISD. Texas law gives boards 21 days between naming a lone finalist and taking final action, and Prosper trustees are expected to consider his contract in October.
Acting Superintendent Bill McLaughlin, appointed in May following Holly Ferguson's March retirement announcement, will remain in charge until Bradley starts, then return to his deputy superintendent position. Board President Kelly Cavender said McLaughlin opened two facilities on schedule and began the school year smoothly.
Families and staff weighed in through listening sessions that drew 150 participants and through more than 2,000 survey responses, and the district says they wanted fresh ideas from the next leader without abandoning the district's traditions.
Bradley previously led Reynolds Middle School, became assistant superintendent for business and operations in 2017, and later managed construction and rollout plans for the $2.7 billion 2023 bond. The district also credits him with securing the Children's Health stadium naming-rights agreement and helping pass a $1.337 billion bond in 2019.
