Frisco, Texas — Gas prices in the Dallas area averaged $3.6590 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 16, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.5700 yesterday. That is up from $3.3790 a week ago but higher than $3.3580 a month ago.
The statewide average in Texas stands at $3.5470, while the national average is $3.9430. Drivers in the Dallas area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Dallas average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8370. Regular prices are about 30 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.8820, drivers are paying about 78 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Dallas area averages $4.7920 per gallon, AAA reported.
