Frisco Public Library will host a bookmark-design workshop for students in grades 4–8 from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, giving participants time to work on an entry before the library’s annual contest closes Oct. 26.

The workshop is listed at Frisco Public Library, 8000 Dallas Parkway. The contest itself has a wider age range, accepting entries from ages 2 through 18 under this year’s theme, “Dinos Doing Everyday Things.”

Each participant may enter once. The library’s rules require original artwork and exclude AI-created, copyrighted or registered images.

Under the library’s published rules, entries must be sent online using the downloadable form in landscape orientation, scanned and uploaded as a PDF. The library says it will not accept entries at the building, but public scanners are available there.

Library staff will select two winners in each age group. Winners may choose a book from a selection of titles and receive copies of their bookmark. The library says it will email winners before Nov. 16.

The workshop schedule and contest instructions are available on the library’s event calendar and bookmark-contest page.
