The 109th PGA Championship is scheduled to take place from May 17 through May 23, 2027, at PGA Frisco. This tournament marks the first time the event will be hosted at the headquarters of the PGA of America. It also represents the first men's major championship held in North Texas in over six decades.

Ticket sales have reached historic levels nearly one year before the competition begins. Organizers anticipate drawing approximately 200,000 spectators to the venue. The event is expected to be broadcast to nearly 500 million households across more than 170 countries.

Jason Mengel, the Championship Director, noted that enthusiasm among spectators, corporate partners, and potential volunteers continues to grow. He emphasized that remaining ticket inventory is becoming scarce and urged interested parties to secure their passes for the matches at Fields Ranch East.

Volunteer recruitment has also seen significant engagement. All planning committees are now fully staffed, with the exception of the PGA Shops Committee. Blake Rowling, the General Chair of the 2027 PGA Championship, stated that the strong response highlights the region's readiness to host a premier global sporting event.

Rowling described the tournament as a chance to highlight PGA Frisco and the local hospitality that defines Texas. Limited tickets remain available for the week-long series of events.

Further details regarding specific pricing tiers or remaining volunteer roles beyond the PGA Shops Committee were not provided.
