Baylor University football representatives took the stage at Big 12 Media Days on Tuesday, holding a press conference at The Star, the headquarters for the Dallas Cowboys in Frisco. Head coach Dave Aranda and six players participated in the event, which serves as a preview for the upcoming 2026 season.

The student-athletes scheduled to address the media included defensive back Michael Allen, defensive end Kyler Jordan, tight end Matthew Klopfenstein, quarterback DJ Lagway, linebacker Kyland Reed, and defensive lineman Jamaal Whyce Jr. The group spoke during the designated player session earlier in the day.

Aranda is scheduled to speak on the main stage during the midday portion of the event. He enters the current campaign with a career record of 36 wins and 37 losses overall. In conference play, his record stands at 24 wins and 30 losses.

Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark also addressed the media regarding the current state of the conference. His remarks were scheduled for 10:15 a.m., preceding the head coach's appearance.

The event at The Star marks the beginning of the conference's media obligations for the season. Details regarding specific comments made by the players or the commissioner were not included in the initial schedule updates.
