LaserCare Eye Center has announced the closure of its Irving office, marking the end of 26 years of service to that community. The practice is shifting its focus to a new location in Frisco, which is scheduled to open on September 1, 2026. The new clinic will be located at 4645 Wyndham Lane, Suite 190, in Frisco, Texas.
Sidney Gicheru, M.D., stated that the Irving location has been a significant part of the practice's history. He expressed gratitude to patients and local residents for their support over the past two decades. The practice noted that it has treated thousands of individuals from Irving and nearby areas since the office first opened.
Despite the closure in Irving, the ophthalmology group will continue to serve patients in that region through its existing clinics in Plano and Southlake. The company is working to ensure a smooth transition for current patients who rely on the Irving site. With the addition of the Frisco office, the practice will operate three locations across North Texas.
The new Frisco facility will provide a range of ophthalmic and vision correction services. These include LASIK, SMILE, refractive lens exchange, cataract surgery, and comprehensive eye care. The move is intended to allow the practice to serve patients in Frisco and surrounding communities from a new office.
