Jeff Metcalf criticized Frisco ISD Superintendent Dr. Mike Waldrip during an appearance on Sarah Fields' "JinxedSip" podcast. He accused the administrator of allowing Karmelo Anthony to graduate despite Anthony being convicted of murder for stabbing Jeff's son, Austin, at a track meet in April 2025.

Metcalf argued that school policies should have prevented the graduation. He cited an alleged handbook rule mandating expulsion for murder and claimed Anthony failed to meet attendance requirements after returning to class on April 2. He also alleged that the district initially refused to leave an empty chair for Austin at the ceremony.

The father described Waldrip as cowardly and suggested the superintendent waited until after elections to address his ex-wife's concerns. He further stated that the community has declined since becoming more diverse. Metcalf also directed insults toward Anthony's parents and used a racial slur for the convicted student.
