The Big 12 Conference is hosting its annual media days at the Dallas Cowboys headquarters in Frisco, Texas. The event provides the first official public appearance of the Baylor Bears ahead of the upcoming football season. Baylor has confirmed the specific players who will attend the gathering to speak with the press.
The Baylor delegation includes quarterback DJ Lagway, defensive end Kyler Jordan, defensive back Michael Allen, defensive tackle Jamaal Whyce Jr., tight end Matthew Klopfenstein, and linebacker Kyland Reed. These athletes will join representatives from other conference schools for the scheduled appearances.
The media day schedule is divided across two days. On Tuesday, July 7, Baylor players will appear alongside representatives from Arizona State, BYU, UCF, Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech. Arizona State will send tight end Khamari Anderson, running back Kyson Brown, linebacker Zyrus Fiaseu, defensive lineman C.J. Fite, offensive lineman Jalen Klemm, and defensive backs Lyrik Rawls and Montana Warren. BYU will be represented by quarterback Bear Bachmeier, linebacker Isaiah Glasker, defensive back Evan Johnson, running back LJ Martin, offensive lineman Bruce Mitchell, and defensive lineman Keanu Tanuvasa.
UCF will send quarterback Alonza Barnett III, defensive back Jayden Bellamy, linebacker Lewis Carter, and offensive lineman Preston Cushman. Colorado will feature tight end Zach Atkins, defensive backs Ben Finneseth, Naeten Mitchell, and Cree Thomas, quarterback Julian Lewis, and wide receiver Danny Scudero. Houston will send offensive lineman McKenzie Agnello, defensive backs Jordan Allen and Kentrell Webb, defensive lineman Khalil Laufau, wide receiver Amare Thomas, and quarterback Conner Weigman. Oklahoma State will send running back Caleb Hawkins, defensive end Jaleel Johnson, quarterback Drew Mestemaker, and linebacker Ethan Wesloski. Texas Tech will send tight end Terrance Carter Jr., wide receiver Coy Eakin, defensive lineman A.J. Holmes Jr., defensive back Brice Pollock, linebacker Ben Roberts, and offensive lineman Sheridan Wilson.
On Wednesday, July 8, the focus shifts to other conference members. Arizona will send offensive lineman Tristan Bounds, linebacker Taye Brown, defensive back Jay'vion Cole, quarterback Noah Fifita, wide receivers Chris Hunter III and Tre Spivey, and defensive end Tre Smith. Cincinnati will send quarterback JC French, linebacker Antwan Peek Jr., and offensive linemen Evan Tengesdahl and Taran Tyo. Iowa State will send defensive back David Coffey, running back Aiden Flora, kicker Kyle Konrardy, quarterback Jaylen Raynor, and defensive end Isaac Terrell. Kansas will send offensive lineman Calvin Clements, defensive end Leroy Harris III, defensive tackle Blake Herold, linebacker Trey Lathan, and wide receiver Cameron Pickett. Kansas State will send defensive back Wesley Fair, running back Joe Jackson, quarterback Avery Johnson, and linebacker Rex Van Wyhe. TCU will send quarterback Jaden Craig, defensive tackles Markis Deal and Ansel Din-Mbuh, defensive back Jamel Johnson, defensive end Paul Oyewale, and offensive lineman Ben Taylor-Whitfield. Utah will send quarterback Devon Dampier, linebacker Johnathan Hall, defensive end Lance Holtzclaw, and running back Wayshawn Parker. West Virginia will send wide receiver Jaden Bray, offensive lineman Nick Krahe, and defensive back Geimere Latimer II.
