BODYBAR Pilates is preparing to hold a large-scale fitness event in Frisco on September 13. The company, which originated in North Texas, intends to bring together 100 participants for a 50-minute session on reformer machines. This gathering is scheduled to coincide with the opening of the brand's 100th studio and the 100th anniversary of the Pilates method's founding in New York.
The session is set to run from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. at the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star. It will take place as part of the company's annual conference. Those attending will include franchise owners, instructors, and invited media representatives.
The event is not open to the general public. Kamille McCollum, the company's chief brand officer and co-founder, will lead the class with assistance from other certified instructors. Balanced Body is providing the 100 reformers used during the session.
McCollum stated that the company wanted to mark these milestones in a special way. She noted that celebrating in Texas is meaningful because it is where BODYBAR was founded. The event is described as an opportunity to commemorate the brand's growth and honor the history of Pilates while bringing the franchise community together.
The company is attempting to set a record for the largest reformer Pilates class, though it has not yet claimed a certified world record. Frisco has previously hosted other large-scale record attempts, including a recent Guinness World Record involving 1,141 soccer balls at Warren Sports Complex.
