BODYBAR Pilates completed a reformer Pilates class featuring 100 participants on 100 reformers on September 13 at the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star in Frisco. The 50-minute session raised $10,000 for the Foundation for Women’s Cancer.

The workout marked the 100th anniversary of Pilates and the company’s 100th studio opening. The $10,000 donation, collected at $100 per reformer, supported education, research, and public awareness programs in recognition of Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month in September.

The class took place during the company’s annual conference and included franchise owners, instructors from across the country, and invited media. Kamille McCollum, certified instructor and BODYBAR Pilates Chief Brand Officer, President, and Co-Founder, led the session alongside a team of instructors.

McCollum said the event was designed to celebrate the discipline’s centennial and the company’s growth milestone. “We wanted to celebrate Pilates’ centennial and our 100th studio opening in a fun, meaningful way and this event exceeded every expectation,” McCollum said. “Bringing together 100 participants on 100 reformers was an incredible and unforgettable celebration of the power of Pilates.

Plus, having our team members, franchise owners and instructors all participate made it even more special. This event is a testament to how far both Pilates and BODYBAR have come and the incredible fitness communities built along the way. Cheers to 100 more years!”

The event occurred five days after BODYBAR Pilates opened its 100th studio in Presidio in North Fort Worth on September 8. The anniversary also recognized the history of the discipline, which began when Joseph and Clara Pilates opened their first studio in New York City in 1926.

Balanced Body Inc. provided all 100 reformers used during the workout. Additional corporate partners included McCollister’s for equipment transport and setup, Pilabarre as grip sock sponsor, FitRadio with resident DJ Stacie Hawk Carroll for on-site music, and TAVI, which supplied participants with custom monogrammed grip socks.

Organizers documented the class using standards consistent with formal record-keeping organizations, compiling verification materials including participant counts, video footage, and photographs following the session.
