Bryce Hayes-Roberts, a four-star safety from Frisco Lone Star, has announced plans to transfer to IMG Academy in Florida. The Class of 2028 prospect shared the news on social media, stating he will begin enrollment on July 15. He expressed excitement about the upcoming challenges and opportunities for growth both academically and athletically.
Ranked as the nation's 20th-best safety, Hayes-Roberts holds 24 college commitments, including offers from Ole Miss, Texas Tech, Florida State, Missouri, TCU, and SMU. Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 185 pounds, he was named District 5-5A Division I defensive newcomer of the year last season. He helped Lone Star achieve a 15-1 record and reach the state championship game, where the team fell to Smithson Valley.
Lone Star returns several key players for next season, including quarterback Trey Wright, who threw for 5,863 yards and 59 touchdowns as a sophomore. The squad also retains four-star athlete Karece Hoyt, who has committed to Baylor, and tight end Zach Forbish, who recently pledged to Michigan State.
