A police officer in Little Elm, Texas, captured a loose goat on the side of a busy road on Tuesday, November 25. During the incident, the officer jokingly read the farm animal its rights.

Little Elm is about 7 miles west of Frisco.

Other recent developments in the area include a woman from North Texas being selected as an astronaut candidate for NASA. Additionally, a man turned himself in to police hours after a deadly shooting occurred in Little Elm on Monday night.

A house fire near Little Elm spread to neighboring homes, damaging three residences. No one was seriously hurt in the incident. In a separate event, Little Elm firefighters received assistance from the police department after finding a snake inside a station recliner.

Former Little Elm ISD custodian is accused of sexually abusing students. According to the district, the former employee is believed to have had inappropriate contact with three students during his two years of employment.

A track meet is scheduled to be held at Little Elm's Lobo Stadium on Monday with enhanced security. Attendees will have their bags checked and go through metal detectors following a fatal stabbing in Frisco on Wednesday.

Two Little Elm police officers are being recognized for rescuing two children from a burning home. Dash camera footage shows the moments leading up to the crash that killed a school nurse and mother of two. Police say an intoxicated driver, who has been convicted of DWI in the past, struck and killed the nurse after running a red light.

A teen with a promising future was murdered at a North Texas house party in 2023. The killers were captured on video. Two years later, police still need help identifying three men wanted for the death.

The body of a 29-year-old man from Little Elm was recovered around 11 p.m. south of the Lewisville Toll Bridge. He was a missing kayaker.

A Dallas police officer was fired following an arrest on child sex charges. The department stated the officer was terminated for engaging in adverse conduct when he was arrested.

DoorDash is now offering drone delivery in parts of the DFW area, including Little Elm. Pizza, burgers, and spaghetti will soon be coming to customers from the sky as part of the new program.
