The Dallas Cowboys concluded their California training camp stint in Oxnard and returned to Frisco for a night session that included fans. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer provided updates on the team's injury status following the practice.
No new injuries were reported during the session, continuing a trend of relative health for the roster. However, several players remained sidelined. Defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard, safety Julius Wood, tight ends DJ Rogers and Michael Trigg, and offensive lineman Ajani Cornelius did not participate, according to Tommy Yarrish of DallasCowboys.com.
Cornelius represents a new addition to the injury report. He is dealing with knee soreness, per Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News. The 2025 sixth-round pick has started in both preseason games and possesses versatility to play tackle. Pro Football Focus graded his run-blocking at 84.1 and pass protection at 62.9, noting he allowed only three pressures.
Bullard has been absent from practice for weeks due to groin and abdomen issues and has not played in either preseason game. He was expected to compete with Otito Ogbonnia for interior defensive snaps.
Trigg is managing a toe injury sustained during the first preseason game and has not suited up since. Schottenheimer declined to confirm if Trigg would be available for the upcoming finale against the New Orleans Saints on Friday night.
