Sazon De Loa, a Mexican restaurant on Renner Road in Plano, is currently recruiting employees following an unexpected surge in patronage. The influx of customers arrived after a video posted by the owner’s 15-year-old daughter, Leslie De Loa, gained significant traction online. Plano is located approximately 12 miles southeast of Frisco.

Prior to the viral attention, the establishment faced potential closure due to low foot traffic. Leslie De Loa recorded a message asking for support for her family’s business, noting that her father, chef and owner Rafael De Loa, had worked hard to maintain the restaurant. She invited the public to visit for food and drinks, emphasizing the need for community assistance.

The video was shared by a social media personality known as Bucky Wild Child, who has more than 110,000 followers. The influencer had visited the Renner Road location earlier in the week. Following the share, the restaurant experienced a dramatic increase in visitors, transforming from a struggling business into a crowded destination.

Patrons traveled from various distances to support the restaurant. Customer Jhazmin Martinez stated she saw the video and decided to visit for a date night. Another customer, Jesus Martinez, described the food as delicious. Some visitors expressed surprise at the large crowds upon arrival.

Diego Osorio noted that the wait time exceeded an hour, which was more than he anticipated. Despite the delay, he indicated the wait was acceptable. Customer C.J. Nelson agreed, calling the situation a positive problem for the business and stating he did not mind waiting for quality food.

Leslie De Loa expressed amazement at the community response, noting that people took time off their days to visit. Rafael De Loa described the turnaround as a miracle, highlighting that the restaurant had been open for nearly two years without such success. He explained that the previous lack of business meant there were no waiters willing to work for tips.

The sudden popularity has created a new operational challenge. Rafael De Loa stated he is working extended hours to manage the volume of customers. He confirmed the restaurant is actively hiring staff to help keep up with demand. Further details regarding the timeline for new hires were not provided.
