Frisco Wakeland and Denton Guyer will compete in their first district game of the season at the C.H. Collins Complex in Denton. The broadcast is scheduled for 7 p.m. on KDFI 27 (FOX 4+) and the free FOX LOCAL app. Both teams enter the contest with identical 2-1 records in non-district play.
The Wolverines dropped their opening game to Richland but have secured victories over Northwest and Rowlett since then. The Wildcats won their first two contests against Rockwall-Heath and Melissa before falling to Waxahachie in their most recent matchup.
Doug Anderson and LaDarrin McLane will provide play-by-play and analysis for their 21st consecutive season covering North Texas high school football. Sideline reporter Chris Mycoskie joins the broadcast for his seventh straight year.
FOX 4+ will continue airing weekly high school football games, primarily on Thursday nights. The upcoming schedule includes Fort Worth Benbrook versus Fort Worth Eastern Hills on Oct. 1, Trophy Club Byron Nelson at Keller on Oct. 8, and Highland Park at Carrollton Creekview on Oct. 15. Parish Episcopal will face Prestonwood on Oct. 23.
Matchups for Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 have not yet been determined.
