North Texas hosts concerts, sports, and exhibits this weekend

North Texas residents have a diverse range of options for the upcoming weekend, spanning live performances, community gatherings, and seasonal attractions. The schedule includes high-energy musical acts, charity-focused sports events, and wine tastings across multiple cities.

Comedian Troy Bond is set to perform at Mic Drop Comedy in Plano on September 11. Bond, who has a social media following exceeding four million, was previously named to the 2023 Just for Laughs New Faces of Comedy lineup.

That same evening, country artist Tim McGraw will headline a show at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, joined by special guests 49 Winchester and Timothy Wayne.

On September 12, the 12th annual Verve Celebrity Softball Classic takes place at Riders Field in Frisco. The event features veterans, athletes, and influencers, with proceeds benefiting veterans and other charities. The day includes a 9/11 tribute, live entertainment, and fireworks.

Also on the 12th, Community Sports Day is held at Kaleidoscope Park in Frisco, offering interactive games and competitions for local fans and healthcare professionals. Additionally, SCHEELS hosts a celebration for North Texas Giving Day on the Grandscape Lawn in The Colony.

Wine enthusiasts have two options on September 12. The Rosé Soirée at Omni PGA Frisco invites attendees to taste 10 rosé wines, with pink and white attire encouraged. In Dallas, the Taste the List event at Monarch offers a sip-and-stroll experience on the 49th floor, with tickets priced at $125 that include charcuterie and light bites.

For those preferring rock music, Rollertown Beerworks in Frisco hosts Pop Punk Nite with Van Full of Nuns on the same date.

The weekend concludes on September 13 with the Dallas Cowboys season opener. Fans can watch the game from the mineral pools at WorldSprings Dallas in The Colony, where DJ Brandon Williams will provide music. The event runs from 5 p.m. until the game ends, offering food specials and merchandise to the first 50 ticket buyers.

In Fort Worth, Leon Bridges performs a one-night-only show at Bowie House, with proceeds supporting local nonprofits.

Several exhibits are also running through the end of the month. The Frisco Discovery Center hosts Road Trip Across America until September 18, featuring a 1915 Ford Model T Roadster and photographic displays. The Frisco Heritage Museum presents Stories from the Archives until September 30, an exhibit inspired by the Significant Objects Project.
