The City of Frisco announced that Gaylord Parkway will be closed west of Ohio Drive beginning at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1. The closure is necessary to begin construction on a new roundabout at the intersection of Gaylord Parkway and Ohio Drive. The project is expected to last approximately four months.

To accommodate work on the west half of the roundabout, traffic patterns on Ohio Drive will be modified between Warren Parkway and Stone Crest Road. Southbound traffic on Ohio Drive will shift to the east side of the roadway, allowing northbound and southbound vehicles to share that side. This change reduces the road to one lane in each direction and will be in effect throughout the day.

Detour signs have been posted to guide drivers. Traffic on Gaylord Parkway will be detoured north to Warren Parkway. Southbound Ohio Drive traffic will shift to the east side of the median at Bald Eagle Lane. During this configuration, left turns are prohibited at the intersection. All drivers must turn right to enter or exit Bald Eagle Lane. Similarly, only right turns in and out are permitted at the driveway behind Lowe’s.

Southbound Ohio Drive traffic will return to the normal side of the median just south of Gaylord Parkway. During this phase, only right turns in and out are allowed at the driveways serving the apartment complexes on each side of the road.

The city advises residents to use caution while driving in the work zone and to find an alternate route in advance. Drivers can use the Waze app to navigate around road closures. Additional information about the roundabout at Ohio Drive and Gaylord Parkway is available online.
