The City of Frisco announced that traffic patterns on PGA Parkway will change starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16. This adjustment is part of the PGA Parkway widening project. Throughout the day, traffic will transition to the new eastbound lanes located between Preston Road and Coit Road. After the switch, eastbound and westbound traffic will run on opposite sides of the median. One lane in each direction will remain open while construction continues.

Traffic patterns on Hillcrest Road south of PGA Parkway will also change. All lanes will remain open, but northbound and southbound traffic will split to opposite sides of the median as drivers approach the PGA Parkway intersection. The full intersection will reopen, and turning drivers will need to use the correct side of the median in all directions.

Drivers entering PGA Parkway from nearby driveways should watch for relocated stop lines and new median placements. The city advises residents to use caution as everyone adjusts to the updated traffic patterns. A map of the traffic switch is available as a PDF.

This announcement follows other recent traffic updates in Frisco. Anthem Drive is scheduled to close at King Road starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 22. Additionally, a new traffic signal has been activated on Dallas Parkway at Fields Parkway and Universal Parkway. Earlier in the month, 5th Street was closed between Main and Elm Streets, and a traffic switch occurred on Lebanon Road starting Monday, April 20.
