The City of Frisco has announced that Lone Star Ranch Parkway will be closed today, June 22, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. The closure affects the section of the road between Stonebrook Parkway and Lebanon Road.

Drivers who normally use Lone Star Ranch Parkway must take detours during this window. Traffic traveling west should use FM 423 as an alternate route. Drivers heading east should use Teel Parkway instead. Detour signs have been posted to guide motorists through these changes.

The city urges drivers to exercise caution in the work zone. Residents are advised to find an alternate route in advance to avoid delays. For real-time navigation assistance, drivers can use the Waze app to navigate around the road closures. Information on how to install or use the app is available on the city website.

This closure is part of the city's ongoing maintenance schedule. Related traffic updates include the closure of Anthem Drive at King Road, which began at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 22. A weekly roadwork roundup for June 22 was also posted on June 21.

Other recent traffic notices include a switch on PGA Parkway between Preston Road and Coit Road on Tuesday, June 16, and the activation of a new traffic signal on Dallas Parkway at Fields Parkway and Universal Parkway. Earlier in the month, 5th Street was closed between Main and Elm Streets starting May 28.

Residents can view a map of the current closures and detours as a PDF on the city website. For more information on city traffic updates, visit the official Frisco government website.
