The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) will close all lanes of the southbound Dallas North Tollway (DNT) between U.S. 380 and Panther Creek Parkway early Friday morning, August 14. The closure is scheduled from 12 to 4 a.m. to allow for the replacement of signage on the tollway.

During this four-hour window, no traffic will be able to enter the southbound DNT in Prosper or via the entrance ramp south of U.S. 380. The specific closures include all lanes of the southbound DNT from the entrance ramp from W. First Street to Fields Parkway/Universal Parkway, the southbound entrance ramp from U.S. 380, and the southbound entrance ramp from Fields Parkway.

Drivers are instructed to use the southbound Dallas Parkway frontage road as a detour. Motorists should continue on the frontage road and follow signs to enter the DNT using the entrance ramp south of Panther Creek Parkway. A map of the maintenance closure is available for reference.

The NTTA advises drivers to use caution while driving in the work zone or to find an alternate route in advance. The agency also suggests using the Waze app to navigate around the road closures. Residents can learn about the app or install it on their smartphones to assist with routing during the maintenance period.
