The City of Frisco has announced the appointment of Thomas Bledsoe as its new Director of Human Resources. Bledsoe is scheduled to begin his role in early September 2026.
City Manager Wes Pierson stated that the city is excited to welcome Bledsoe to the organization. Pierson noted that Bledsoe is joining a group of talented individuals who care about the work they do and the community they serve. According to Pierson, Bledsoe’s experience, confidence as a leader, humility, and desire to listen and learn before making decisions were key factors in the hiring decision.
Pierson expressed confidence that Bledsoe will invest in the city’s people and strengthen the Human Resources team.
Bledsoe joins Frisco from Overland Park, Kansas, where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer since 2022. Prior to his role in Overland Park, he worked for health care and non-profit organizations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Bledsoe is a North Texas native and a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Theory.
He also holds a Master of Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix.
In a statement, Bledsoe said he is excited about the opportunity to help shape the future of Frisco. He highlighted his experience in implementing HR technology, developing standard operating procedures, and improving operational processes for high-performing teams. Bledsoe stated he is prepared to help the city continue strengthening its HR infrastructure while maintaining the service levels expected by employees, residents, and visitors.
