Baylor quarterback DJ Lagway will miss Saturday’s matchup with Louisiana Tech because of an ankle injury, leaving Nate Bennett to make his second consecutive start.
Lagway, who transferred from Florida, sustained the injury during Baylor’s season-opening loss to Auburn. He also sat out the Bears’ game against Prairie View A&M last week after being listed as doubtful for the Louisiana Tech game.
Bennett passed for 314 yards and contributed to four touchdowns against Prairie View A&M. He also threw two interceptions in that game.
Louisiana Tech will make a quarterback change as well. Starter Blake Baker is unavailable with a hand injury, so Trey Kukuk will take the opening assignment for the Bulldogs.
